Paper-I: FUNDAMENTALS OF FOOD SCIENCE AND NUTRITION-II
(This course will enable the students To understand the functions of food and the role of various nutrients, their requirements and effect of deficiency and excess, promote basic knowledge pertaining to various food groups and nutrients, make students familiar with the different methods of cooking, their advantages and disadvantages, develop ability to improve the nutritional quality of food.)
Paper-II: DEVELOPMENT IN EARLY
(This course will enable the students To understand growth and development during infancy & early childhood, study the factors influencing development during infancy and early childhood years, understand development in key areas – physical, motor, cognitive language, social & emotional development .)
Paper-III: SEWING TECHNIQUES
(This course will enable the students To understand the importance and necessity of various construction techniques for different fabrics, and to acquire the skills to apply those construction techniques in a sample form, acquire knowledge and skill regarding stitching techniques for various garment components such as plackets, pockets, cuffs, collars, and fasteners which are ultimately used for stitching of any garments)
Paper-IV: INTERIOR DECORATION & DESIGN
(This course will enable the students To develop skill in using colors to create different effects in space, with the use of various color schemes, leave techniques of using color in different media, give knowledge of flowers / floral decoration and arrangement)
Paper-V: SOCIAL SURVEY AND COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT
(This course will enable the students To impart knowledge of community development, develop awareness regarding community development programmes, assess the methods of social and social research, and gain the knowledge about gender and development.)
Paper-VI: ECOLOGY & ENVIRONMENT – II
(This course will enable the students To develop skill in gardening and plant propagation, impart knowledge of mushroom cultivation, vermi-culture and vermin-composting.)
Paper-VII: BASIC CHEMISTRY-II
(This course will enable the students To understand the importance and necessity of fuel, acid and base, organic compound and corrosion)
Paper-VIII: APPLIED PHYSICS AND BASIC COMPUTER – II
(This course will enable the students To revise concepts in Physics (Electricity, Optics) and Computers.)
Paper-IX: ENGLISH AND COMMUNICATION SKILLS- II
(This course will enable the students To prepare the students to communicate effectively and fluently in English, enable students listening, speaking reading and writing, strengthen grammatical accuracy, prepare the students to deal with customers, professional, counsellors in correct grammatical, idiomatic English, provide personality development training through situational role play, interview techniques, group discussions, seminar presentation etc.)
